PLAN - The Pervasive and Locative Arts Network
Role: Project Investigator
A international and interdisciplinary research network in pervasive media and locative media funded as part of the EPSRC Culture & Creativity programme. The network will stage three major gathering: an initial workshop to launch the network and assess the state of the art; a technology summer camp for artists and technologists, including hands-on prototyping sessions using the facilities at Nottingham's Mixed reality Laboratory; and a major public conference and participatory exhibition as a central component of the Futuresonic 2006 festival in Manchester; as well as a supporting web site and other resources.

Creative Crossings
Role: UK member of steering group
A networking initiative exploring how the current media landscape is being redefined by pervasive computing, cross-platform applications and location-based use. Initiated by initiated by Banff New Media Centre, M-Cult and Arts Council England it aims to consolidate collaborative links between Canada, Finland and UK. Results of workshop investigating participatory strategies & social networking, cross platform work, and ontologies & meta-data to be published soon.
Mobile Digital Commons Network
Role: Partner.
This cross-disciplinary network will research and create flexible interfaces for wireless technologies serving as both tools of content creation and as the media through which content will be distributed. We will examine the transformation of urban and non-urban space through the creation of responsive and content-aware environments.
